About
Hi there! I’m Amy. I’m a busy mom of two wonderful kiddos! My kitchen philosophy is pretty simple. I like to prepare easy, relatable and delicious meals for my family and friends. I will also be posting occasional mom rants, travel adventures and home improvement projects.

I’ve been married to my wonderful husband, Jesse, for what feels like a hundred years – in a good way, I swear! 😉
Together, Jesse and I have two children. One of which is my bonus child! Our oldest, Riley, is just a wonderful human. He is kind, smart and full of so much love. I’ve been in his life since he was very young and although on paper, he is my step child, in life he is just my child. I am “his Amy” and he is “my son”. We only use the appropriate labels when we need to explain our relationship to outsiders. So now that you all have the inside scoop, you won’t here me say “step son” again. 😉
Our daughter, Harley is a smart, beautiful little human who is full of love and life! She is a force to be reckoned with and I wouldn’t have her any other way. She cracks an egg like a boss! She knows how to properly measure flour (MORE ON THAT LATER) and just enjoys being in the kitchen with me…unless there are barbies nearby, then I’m chopped liver!

There is never a dull moment in the Post house and I wouldn’t have it any other way! The sounds of the kids playing together (mostly nicely), drawing (a skill they definitely get from their dad!) and laughing brings so much joy to my heart. I can’t imagine a life without them in it!
I try very hard to keep things as simple as possible when I’m in the kitchen. It doesn’t always work out that way, but I roll with the punches when I have to. As a busy mom, I really can’t afford to spend too much time in the kitchen and that’s why it’s so important to make it as easy on myself as possible. That’s not to say that I don’t have days when I like to spice things up a bit, because I definitely do. I just try to plan things out to accommodate my schedule. Type A personality over here!!
I’ve been talking about starting a food blog for quite a few years. It’s really crazy how quickly and easily life gets in the way of things we want to do, right?! I’ve finally decided that now is the time to get this thing started. I’m excited for the journey that we’re about to take together. I will do my best to share recipes that are easy to follow so that you have the confidence to get in the kitchen and start cooking! I’m not classically trained, but instead I’m a self taught mom (with the help of celebrity chefs and cooking shows!) who has a passion to give the people I love and care about good food. Always remember that if I can do it, then so can you!
